I don't know a title for that

I feel like getting a real canadian, because in nearly every post there is a "sorry that i haven't posted so long " and here it is again. But I'm really trying to so it at least weekly from now on.
Let's see, what my brain can remember from the last weeks.
My new classes are really good.  And I figured out I want to build a night stand in IA (which takes forever to plan and build the whole thing)  and then I thought about making a wand :D
Psychology is also really interesting, because it explains the way we are thinking and that's so cool.
There was also Valentines day.  And the whole thing is way bigger.  You could buy valentines things everywhere.  It was crazy!  And don't forget all the funny valentines cards ;)
We also had two basketball tournaments
One was on the second weekend of February in Grimshaw.  The gym was huge and they had really good food (in huge portions as well) I ate Poutine (Fries with Gravy and cheese)  and also Taco salad (it's soo good ^.^). We could also sleep in a hotel this weekend which was really nice and way more comfortable than the floor.  The hotel breakfast was awesome too.  They had waffles and breakfast buritos.      We lost all of our games, but the games were still fun.  We could've won some of them, if there wouldn't have been 2 good players, who got injured and one good one, who got foult out.  Not to mention that the refs in the second game were really unfair and that the score board was not right.
This weekend we had a basketball tournament again in Valleyview.  Our team played the first game and half pf the school was watching, what felt really weird, because this game felt so important.  It was a fun game and in the end, even a 7 year old played :D
For supper we went to Tim Hortons.  I really like tim hortons and couldn't decide what i wanted. So instead of deciding between a blueberry muffin and Tim bits, I just bought both ^.^ I also had a Swiss and Ham sandwich (or something like that)  and the bun was the closest to german buns, I got at this point.  This weekend we had to sleep in school, but it was not to bad, because this time I brought two matresses.  On saturday we had two games.  They were fun two.  And in the games, the 7year old even scored some baskets.  I feel like I'm talking to much about food but whatever.  The school cafeteria had really good Bacon n Egger and a huge ice cream bowl for just 1.25$  Sadly we didn't go to Timmies again after the games, so I hope we have tim hortons next weekend when I will go to (drum rolls)  Jasper.   I am going snowboarding in the rocky Mountains :D   it's a school trip.  We will leave next Sunday and be back on Tuesday night.  I'm so exited about that. ^.^
I think this are the most exiting things that happened in the last time
We have still snow, and I heard on Germany it already feels like spring!  I will really miss the snow.  Even if lots of people here say, that they don't like the snow.  In my opinion it could stay forever.
One part of the valentine's day section in IGA
 They took grad pictures :D
 Isn't that cute
This is my new pick n isn't that awesome?
 In love with taco salad
The gym, we played in Grimshaw

 Landscape
my hostfamily and I were at a bulriding thing and after that was a valentine's dance.  And the singer was the same, that I heard when I was at the GP college.
My basketball team.  We played with a seven ear old who scored!  XD
 That's where we slept.
 Another gym
A sign, so we didn't wander around in school.
This was another valentines party this weekend (wow so many parties ;), where I've been with my hostfamily.  It was a Phillipino one and I missed the chance to win 100$ at a game.  And my hostdad won a TV :D
Just a really nice sunset.

Review of my first semester

Hey guys.  I'm so sorry, that I haven't updated something in the last four weeks.  You should think, because I had no school, I had all the time of the world, but I was to lazy and not many exiting things happend.  But I will tell you how I liked my old classes (because a new semester started)  and what my new ones are.    In my first semester (which is already over.  I can't believe it!)  I had Pop culture, Band, Math and Gym.  I hated Pop culture, because it was a group work class and I hate group work, because I usully do the most and the other ones are just lazy.  But in General it was about the popular things in the last decades like music, fashion or film (so we watched some movies and did some creative things, which was ok pretty cool).   Then I had Band.  It was a windinstrument class and I played the Euphoneum (it's like a Tuba, just smaller) .  I really liked this class, because I could learn a new instrument and some new things about music.  We played lots of things like christmas carols, the national theme, harry potter theme or colours of the wind (poccahontas).   If you have the chance of going to band.  Do it!  You won't regret it.  My third period was Math.  First I was in Math 20-2.  It was the easier math with more words and it was kind of complicated, so I switched to the harder class Math -1 (harder means they are not doing this confussing word stuff and actual calculate).  This class was fun too, even if the most things were just things, I've already learned lqst year in Germany.  But still I learned some new things and finally understand some other things, I didn't understood in Germany.   It was also cool that we had projects like a spraypark (waterpark) , where we get to know parabolas better and had to build one ourself.  We also had to do a quadratic formula song.  And every time I listen to the song rude, this version is in my mind. So in the end I can say Canadian math class is easier, more fun and i don't know how I will survive Math in Germany :s (oh and just an example.  We have the sine and cosine graphs in grade 10, in Canada in grade 12.) and onr more thing, in Canada they are allowed to used graphable calculators. I will miss them in Germany (bit therefor Canadians have no Tafelwerk, however they survive).  My last class of the day was gym.  And it's way different from Germany.  While we are doing all the athletic things and nearly never play games, we did this here nearly all the time.  For example Volleyball, Basketball, Dodgeball, Softball (it's like baseball, just with a  bigger ball, but I don't like it.  The rules suck).  We also went to a gym to work out, danced Zumba one time, went to the swimming pool (and could do whatever we want.  So no forced swimming like in Germany)  and skated.  It was a fum class, exept for the end, whem ot got boring for me and wr played all the things I didn't like.    So this were my first semester classes.  I can't promise, that (if you should choose this classes)  they are exactly the same, but they will probably still be good. In my second semester I have English (also called LA for language arts),  Industrial arts (so I'm gonna build things with wood), Chemistry and CTS (that's an online course do I can pick, what I wanna learn between a bunch of things.  I decided to take Psychology first, because I think it's really interesting.)  And to my final grades.  Pop culture 90%, Band 98%, Math 80%(I had an average of 89% but then I screwed up my final exam with 66%  and Gym 85%. I think this are pretty good marks :) So this was my class review.  Now let's see what interesting happend in the last two weeks...
We nearly had no school for two weeks.  In the first week I just had to go monday for the math exam, and the following week there was a teachers convention from Wednesday to Friday,so no school either :D.
My hostbrother stayed at his friends house and when we picked him up, his friends mum showed us her sheep farm.  Some sheep are really adorable and they also had puppies (little baby dogs)  and they were sooo cute ^.^ Oh right.  Last Sunday after church, we went to a old folks home to sing with them (I played the guitar).  It was pretty good, exept for that I didn't knew the flat chords like A b or E b. First I thought it's the same like Am or Em.  But it's not!  I played with a guitar from church and there was q really cool guitar pick with a maple leaf on it.  And guess what?  I can keep it ^.^ I like to collect cool guitarpicks and now I have a really cool canadian one :D.   I'm sorry if everything is a bit messed up right now, but my brain just remembers things from the last two weeks. In school, they also took graduation pictures and I will be on the wall on school, where all the graduates are.  Isn't that cool.  And I got to wear the head and the gown (if it's called like that),  what was pretty cool. Also I started watching the anime Death note amd it's so good abd addicting xD and i started to dicover new songs from Ed sheeran and he's such a good musician.   What I also wanna mention in chemistry we were playing a game on our Smartphones (we had to log into a website and then everyone played, isn't that cool, why don't we have that in Germany?)  and before the quiz started we watched a crash course video ( provably no one knows what that means, so I will explain.  Vlogbrothers is a youtube channel from my favorite author John Green and his brother Hank.  They are part of a nother channel (crash course)  where they explain things from chemistry, physics, history or biology and it's really good.  So I had my little fan girl moment in class :D

Ok I think that's all I'm running out of information.  One last thing we had a blizzard here, so now we have snow again.  But because of the snowstorm our basketball tournament got cancelled, what sucked, because we just have three left, and i eventually can't go to the one, because my 4H speech, is on the same weekend (4H speech is, where we have to make a speech to a interesting topic).  We will see how it goes.
I hope you all have a good week and hopefully some snow too :)

Long weekend of bonfires

Thursday was used to be my last day if this semester.  But then sadly the bus was not running!  First I was really upset, because I was like "This is my last day of gym, math and band class ever and O really liked this classes.   I'm just glad my pop culture class is over, because I didn't really liked this class, because it was a group work class and I HATE group work!.   One thing for example was that my group member printed of a 60! Pages presentation, which we haven't even presented in the end -.- (what a waste of paper).     What was funny about the bus is  not running thing. Usully you don't have school because it's to cold.  Here you don't have school, because it's to warm xD (we had icy roads, because it was to warm.)   Then we spended the das at home. First it was really weird, because it was like 7.40 and we were already awake!  In the afternoon we made a snow ford, but then we were all to wet, we haven't had a snowball fight.  In the evening we made a bonfire right in front of our house and that was pretty cool.  On Friday I had no school either, because the exam week started.  On Saturday we went Snowboarding again and it was so much fun!  I even jumped a few times and worked on my 180. In the evening my hostsibblings wanted to make a bonfire in the bush and our actual plan was even to sleep out there.  But then around midnight it started raining and we didn't had a roof so we went back to the house.  But now I know how to start a bonfire and that it's actually burning, even after one hour.  On Sunday was church wnd Potluck.  And I can't tell you how awesome Potluck is!  (lots of free good food).  Now I collected three new very good recipes.   After that yesterday was the last time to go to the Truth project.  It's kind of sad that it's over because it was really interesting and I think I learned a lot :) In the evening we had a bonfire again and this time I was burning some of my school stuff, just for fun.  Today (Monday)  I have to go to school to write my final exam in Math, but then I don't have school for the rest of the week xD

 Yummy 😋
 Death my chocolate ^.^
It's so Warm right now ,that the snow is melting and it looks like spring (but I Want my snow back !!! ❄ )
 Burning my School work :)
Now the beautiful sunrises in the morning start again *.*

Skating, Snowboarding,Concert and last week of the semester

This week we've been skating with gym class.  And guess what?  I finally learned how to stop :D and also how to get along with a hockey stick and puck.  On Friday we danced Zumba in gym and it was really fun, too.  In Bandclass I had my final exam aka.  Playing test and I got 95% which is not bad, because I screwed up at the sight reading part.  I also realized I had 4 times pizza in just 3 days.  I guess that's a new record xD
On Saturday I finally went snowboarding for the first time in Canada. Here is a small hill. But even if it was just a small hill, I had lots of fun.  I was so happy that I could finally go snowboarding.  They had blue and black slopes and I can't wait to go snowboarding in Jasper (Rocky mountains), but I'm totally ok with that hill for now as well.  In the evening my hostmum and her baby had a baby shower.  It's actually a baby party. We played some funny games. In one game we had to make a diaper out of toilet paper.  Then there was a game, where you had to say as many boynames, as much toilet paper you got.  I had to say eight names, what was pretty simple, because I'm readimg books.  A game we played over the whole evening was a game, where you were not allowed to say the name baby.  And if you had to give away one of your cloth pins.  And if you heard someone saying it, then you could get one of them.  In the end I made the third place.  Not to mention that the I was hungry, after all those games we could finally eat.  They had Noodles amd Spring rolls and it was sooo good.  (especially because you could eat as many spring rolls as you want).   Sunday was a really good day too.  In the morning we went to church as usual, then we went to the Truth project and in the evening to a concert.  It was from christian family band, called Canada's Double Portion. They were really good and the concert was fun.  Monday started the last week of this semester and then we'll have no school for one week.  (actually it's exam week, but I just write Math on Monday, so nothing else for the rest of the week.   And I'm so glad when my pop culture class is over.
Have a good week everyone :)

 Me in a diaper XD

School race and basketball weekend

On Monday school started agaon after winter break.  Something really funny happened on Monday in Mathclass.  We usully use colour sheets for important stuff.  Bit it was empty, so thr math teacher asked one of the boys to get it, depends on who was faster. I wanted to go to so I said I'm faster.  So she was like really? Let's see.  So me and the guy were running threw the whole school (passing the principal)  and in the end I got the colour sheets first and won the race.  My math teacher was really surprised.      By the way our Math teacher is pretty cool and funny.
Exept for that, it was a normal school day.
Right now it's around -30 outside.  I just wanted to say that.  And guess how warm it is in Germany?  +6/10!!!  Isn't that crazy and warm?!?   I actually like the temperatures here more, because it's winter so I don't mind cold.  And we got snow here.  A big advantage compared to Germany.
This weekend we had a basketball tournament.  We left at lunch time and when we arrived we had like two minutes to warm up, before we had to play.  The first game game really wasn't good, and we we're all glad, when this game was over.  After that we got our classroom, where we were sleeping in.  (Yes we were sleeping in a school.  Isn't that kind of cool?)  Then we went to a restaurant, where I bought Poutine (Fries, Cheese and Gravy), Chicken strips anf a German Chocolate milkshake xD.   After that we went back to school and after long waiting we finally had our next game at 9.30.  It was a good game and we even won :D After that we were all pretty tired so after a shower (which was ok for a school shower)  we all went to bed.      I should mention that sleeping in a school might sound cool, but it's so hard!  I just had a thin mattress (and an extra one from the gym)  but it was still pretty uncomfortable (some people brought huge air mattresses, I was a little bit jealous)  so I was not to mad, about our time to get up (7.40). We went eating breakfast at the same restaurant and I ate Bacon,Eggs, Hash browns and French toast and it was really good ^.^  then my teacher and I walked back to school, to look around in town a little bit (bit it wasn't very exiting.  Just some stores).  Then we walked back to school, and watched the boys games.  On the afternoon we finally had our last game.  We did really well but in the end, we lost. But it was still a really good game.  After that the boys had their last game and it was so exiting in the end.  No kidding!  They were so close all the time and in the end we won by one!  point (one guy from our team had two foul shoots and made them both).  Then we had to go back home.  This tournament was really fun and the school we stayed in looked so cool.  Oh by the way.  Because of those stupid rules I sadly had to cut of my lovely bracelet, I wore for 1 1/2 years :/ (it feels very empty on my arm now).
On Sunday we went to church and the truth project and in the afternoon I tried to split wood but failed xD.   Now a week is over again and a new one starts today :) Have a good one

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Hey guys. First of all happy new year to everyone. My new years eve I spend in the movie theatre and then I went with my family to a new years dance. It was interesting, to see how they celebrate in Canada. Sadly there was no firework :/    On new years I also got my football jacket. And that´s awesome, because  it´s a football college jacket. And yeah I rhink that´s just cool :D   On January 1st we were invited to a New Years Dinner. Here in Canada it´s typical to have a big meal on that day. So we had ham, meatballs, buns, potatos, ice cream, pie and lots of other food. And it was soo good ^.^   . On January 2nd was my 16th birthday. On this day I  skyped with my mum, dad and best friend. From my hostfamily I got a scarf  (and it looks like the one from Katniss) , hocolate and a black forest cake.  In the evening I´ve been to Youthgroup. So it was not the most exiting birthday, but I mean I´m in Canada, that´s awesome  anyway. By the way the snowboard hill here opened so I really hope, we are going there soon.    On Saturday I´ve been to a birthdayparty from a friend, who shares the same birthday with me. She had a really big Phillipino 18th birthdayparty. It was really fun. So today is my last day of my two week winter break. I can say it was very interesting holiday, where I experienced canadian christmas and New Years.  Today in 6 months I will be back in Germany and I think this thought is really crazy. I really like it here and I will use the next six month as good as possible, to make this year unforgetable.       Oh and I forgot to mention that I was in the local newspaper. It was about  how christmas is in Germany :)

really really good recipes

A very canadian christmas

Hey guys. Merry Christmas everyone and sorry that I'm 363 to early ;) On Monday we've been again to GP, to get some christmas shopping done and I bought me some really nice winterboots there.  Our big christmasday was on the 24th (usully it's on the 25th. But because my hostparents are divorced, the kids we're a part if christmas here and the other part there).  So we made a big christmas dinner with Turkey, Rotkohl (red cabbage,  I made it myself and I'm really proud about that),  Klöße (no clue for a english word but my mum send me a mix do I could make them)  potatos and gravy.  It was really delicous and nearly tasted like home.  Speaking of home.  On the 24th I also skyped with my parents, even if my parcel haven't arrived yet.   In the evening we went to a Nazarene chruch and this was the best christmas mass I've ever been to. In the beginning the christmas story was read and then peoole were talking about it from different point of views (for example Maria, Angel)  and between everyone we sang a song.  I guess Holy Night is one of my favorites together with Carol of the bells, Angels we have heard on high and God Merry Rest gentlemen.   (check out the covers by Pentatonix they are awesome) .  After that we went back home and opened presents.  I got some winterstuff like socks or gloves and the book Papertowns by John Green.   So on the 25th was a normal day.  On the 26th we went to a lake really close to us and then there was a bonfire and we played hockey on a lake.  Really Canadian :)  so my Christmas was different but still a really good one.  (and I had snow)

on our way to the lake.  Doesn't this just look awesome?
Here you can see how deep the snow is

"oh the good old hockey game.  It's the best game you can play "
