useful things you should know as an exchange student

Because I´m on exchange, I guess I can give you some good advices :)

-Write down how you spend your money. Do you keep track on what you buy and are nit surprised in the middle of a month.

-Write a Diary /Blog /Vlog.  Have anything where you write down your memories.  Because lots of things you will forget and I guess that's not what you want (and if you have a blog you don't have to write all your friends the Same stuff over and over again because they can just read your Blog)

-A money safing Tipp; instead of  a parcel, sent big mails.  It's cheap and faster.

-Say yes to everything exept for drugs . That´s the way I do it and it is not bad at all.  I mean how will you Experience new things if you say no to everything. A good Example: first I didn't want to go to Youthgroup but it's lot of fun.

-If you have problems. Talk about them. And if you can't write them down.

-join sportsteams. 1. you won't just sit bored at home   2. you might find some friends  3. You stay in shape. At least a little bit ;)

-enjoy the food. That's part of your exchangeyear. Don't say no to that unhealthy bacon burger or cake, just because you don't want to gain weight. It won't work anyway and you can still eat healthy when you're back in your home country. Just enjoy the food :)

-Nothing is impossible.  Example. I played the whole badminton season and my hostfamily didn't have to drive me anywhere (btw I live on a farm 20 minutes from town) extra. What I mean by that is, that I needed to organize rides or sleep overs on my own or hope my family is in town anyway. (for explaination: my hostdad is the only driver in the family and works all day so it's hard for him to drive everyone around)  . So even if your limited in something. Make the best out of it
